I didn't purchase this bike but I wanted to so bad just to help out the guy. He had taken a spill and was now walking with the help of a cane. Advertised for $1600 I was about to offer $800 for it, but it just had too much damage on the fairings, handle bar was crooked and I wasn't happy with the overall condition of the bike. Also the shifting was rough and it wasn't holding the charge good either since he had to start it up with his car battery. Wish I could have bought it just to help out the guy though. My quest continues to finding a 2nd motorcycle that I will enjoy riding in. I love my Yamaha Vstar 650 Silverado, just would like to have a 2nd bike when this one is in the shop for maintenance.

Jan 5, 2010 - Those are harsh words Roger. "Cheap and Powerless" *tear* The engine did sound pretty normal for the 250 engine. The sound you really want to make sure on these is that Sewing machine type sound and the "whining" sound. Which I heard both. The damage however does mean it's been down pretty hard so more handling issues might be present. I just love modding the crap out of the 250. Good little bike that can keep up with most sportbikes in the twisties.

Jan 7, 2010 - I take those words back. I had forgotten how people made fun of me when I rode on my Honda Rebel 250. Maybe I should just look for a Ninja 250 that's no more than 2 years old.
